Responsibilities of Sr. Superintendent:
As a Construction Superintendent, you’ll have the unique role of ensuring safety standards, quality control, and seamless team operations directly at the project site. Key duties include leading field operations and supervising subcontractors and labor teams.
- Project Oversight: Manage aviation construction projects from conception to completion.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, and airport authorities.
- Cost and Budget Oversight: Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost control throughout the project.
- Stakeholder and Client Communication: Maintain strong communication with airport stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns.
- Compliance: Ensure all construction activities meet FAA regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates are skilled in hands-on construction management, with a strong knowledge of safety protocols (e.g., OSHA certification preferred) and experience managing daily on-site operations and staff coordination.
- 7+ years of experience managing aviation or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations, safety protocols, and airport operations.
- Proven experience managing complex budgets, schedules, and project teams.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Pmp certifications – not needed.
- Procure experience is a plus.
