Responsibilities of Senior Project Manager – Public Works Construction
- Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and plans to meet objectives.
- Manage cross-functional teams, including contractors, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Oversee budgets to ensure projects remain financially on track and within approved limits.
- Ensure all projects adhere to local and federal regulations and safety standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for public agencies and stakeholders, providing regular updates.
- Identify and mitigate project risks proactively to maintain smooth operations.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on public works construction.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure development, safety standards, and local regulations.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage large teams and subcontractors.
- Proficiency with project management tools like Microsoft Project or Procore.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
