Responsibilities of Senior Construction Project Manager:

As the Senior Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Project Leadership: Managing the full life cycle of K-12 and public works projects, from planning and design to construction and completion.
  • Budget Management: Overseeing project budgets to ensure alignment with financial goals, cost management, and resource optimization.
  • Compliance and Permits: Ensuring compliance with state regulations, building codes, and permitting processes.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinating with school officials, public agencies, architects, and subcontractors to achieve project goals.
  • Timeline Management: Developing and managing schedules to ensure on-time delivery of all phases of construction.
  • Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating project risks to ensure smooth operations and minimize disruptions.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should have:

  • Extensive experience managing K-12 school or public works construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of California building codes, public contracts, and permitting processes.
  • Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and large-scale projects.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
