Key Responsibilities of Director of Quality Reliability
The Director of Quality Reliability will be entrusted with a broad spectrum of responsibilities, critical to the company’s success and reputation. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Strategic Leadership & Vision

Quality Management Systems (QMS)

Reliability Engineering & Testing
Establish and manage comprehensive reliability testing programs, including accelerated life testing (ALT), highly accelerated life testing (HALT), environmental testing, and other relevant methodologies to predict and improve product longevity and performance.
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
Champion and lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 8D problem-solving, and Statistical Process Control (SPC). Drive significant reductions in defects, waste, and variation across all manufacturing and operational processes. A deep understanding and practical application of advanced quality methodologies and tools is essential for this role.
Supplier Quality Management
Develop and manage robust supplier quality programs, including supplier selection, auditing, performance monitoring, and corrective action processes to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components. Collaborate closely with procurement and supply chain teams.
Customer Satisfaction & Feedback

Requirements for the Director of Quality Reliability

Education
